Further information on working practices during COVID-19

As the situation with the COVID-19 continues to develop and evolve, the safety, health and well-being of our clients and our team are paramount to Sharp Family Law. We are following official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England to ensure that we keep families, yours and ours, safe.

We want to reassure you that all our family solicitors continue to be available to advise and assist you. Our priority is to maintain our service to you and ensure the well-being of our community.

Below is a list of FAQ’s regarding our response and commitment to you during COVID-19.

Can I have a consultation with my solicitor remotely?

Yes, we have comprehensive remote working capability and all our solicitors and staff are equipped to work securely from home. We have multiple videoconferencing options – Zoom, Facetime, Skype – please contact your solicitor for the platform that works best for you.

Will my lawyer be available to answer questions and work on my case?

Yes, we are open, and your legal matter is continuing to receive our full attention. You can email, call, or videoconference with your solicitor during this time.

How are court hearings and appointments affected?

The Courts are still officially open, but many are suspending hearings and either adjourning these or organising video and telephone hearings where possible. This is a dynamic and changing situation, but we are following the situation closely and are constantly being updated on what the courts are doing during this time. Please speak with your solicitor to assess what this will mean for your case.

You and your family remain our top priority and we are committed to providing the same level of compassionate and comprehensive representation on which we have built our name and reputation. During this time of social distancing, we may not physically be together, but we are committed to working as a team so that your needs are met in the most expeditious, safe and personalised manner possible.

We wish you and your family well as we work through these extraordinary and uncertain times together.
